How To Approach Mount Everest Expedition

You might be thinking of how to prepare for a breathtaking experience of visiting the tallest mountain in the globe. The information you need to have before taking the Mount Everest Expedition is that the mountain is 8844 meters above sea level, and it has snow throughout the year at 6000 meters and above. This is a place that the Tibetans and Nepalese people consider sacred.

Mount Everest is a holy grail for different mountaineers in the world. However, you can also take a journey to the top after you do some adequate training. But if you are the type who wants to view its splendor and magnificence there is plenty to watch from the base of the highest point on earth. The place offers a variety of opportunities for visitors who have come to see what Everest has to offer.

You can also choose to enjoy Mt. Everest scenery from the nearby towns or getting to the base of the mountain. Some of the important things, you will need include hiking shoes, rainproof coat, and warm clothes. You first need to book a flight to the Everest. The flight will take you over the mountains and Himalayas giving you a preview of its majesty from the comfort of the airplane seat. You should also visit the Shigatse valley here there is a cluster of towns that are at the base of the mountain. At this point, you will experience ancient ruins, colorful markets, and natural hot springs.

From the valley, the Rongbuk Monastery is 48 miles and the distance might not be short but it is less strenuous compared to going up the mountain. At Shigatse valley, there are tour guides that will guide you through the journey to Monastery at a small fee. At the valley, you are now at a vantage point to take photos of Mount Everest. There is also accommodation in the nearby hotels where you can spend the night.

Some people proceed to base camp that is six miles from the Monastery. The base camp is the stopping point for people who are not serious about climbing Mount Everest. It has an altitude of 17000 feet and people with altitude sickness should exercise a lot of caution. The climbers consider that from the base camp now the journey of climbing the mountain has began.

This is an area that receives many people throughout the year; some come to conquer the highest point on earth others come to see its beauty and magnificence. Mount Everest is situated at the border of Tibet, China and Nepal and it a destination for acclimatized and fit mountaineers.

If you go to the place some of the activities, include photography, mountaineering, camping, and hiking. The mountains northern slopes are in China and south into Nepal. It is an area that experiences strong winds and temperatures below zero at all times.
