Monuments Across Miami

There are some great monuments in Miami that are listed on the U.S. list of National Significant Landmarks, an amazing list of suggestions for anyone anyone searching for unique places to go visit and has a desire to discover more about the history of the United States.

Freedom Tower

Sometimes thought of as the most famous of the Miami monuments is Freedom Tower. Often referred to as the Ellis Island of Miami, Freedom Tower is where many Cubans came to immigrate to the US. The tower was donated to Miami Dade College and is now used often to host art items. This landmark is found in the center of Miami is picturesque and a great spot for photos.

Miami Biltmore Hotel and Private Club

The Miami Biltmore is a luxury like no other. The spa services, the perfectly maintained golf course, unparalleled dining experiences (like Palme d'Or, which was ranked best overall experience by Zagat), the Biltmore Culinary Academy (where celebrity culinary artists give hands on lessons to guests), all mix to give an elegant and refined experience for any adventuring.

Ferdinand Magellan-United States Car No. 1

One of the Miami monuments that's at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum is the Ferdinand Magellan, the 1st Presidential Rail Car. While the original interior of the train is now not available for public viewing the long history of this vehicle makes it a very important part of American History. This auto was one of the last few surviving private train cars that were ever built and it is the only passenger car on the registrar of National Historic Landmarks. The Gold Coast Railroad Museum is a cheap and interesting place to swiftly learn plenty about American History. Anyone with a deep interest in trains will have a good time having a hands on experience with the retired train cars and a great opportunity to ride some of the trains which have been restored so they can be viewed by the general public.

The Miami Circle At Brickell Point Site

This landmark is an archaeological site of the Tequesta Indians from 2000 years back. A perfect circle cut into the rock is a site to see. The park is quiet and wide open, featuring a unique waterfront and an ideal place for a an enjoyable afternoon within the busy Miami area. This is one of the more recent monuments in Miami to be inducted to the National Register of Historic Places. Tours of the burial sites are guided by the Historic Museum of Southern Florida.

Vizcay Museum And Gardens

Monuments in Miami such as the Vizcay Museum and Gardens, give the culture of Miami its unique aesthetic. This museum is owned by Miami-Dade county and the beautiful architecture and plants make it a stunning location for beginner and experienced photographers alike. Vizcay Museum And Gardens are full of stunning unique and exotic plants that are maintained marvellously. The open air house has been the home of several influential Americans over the years and refurbished multiple times with lush accouterments each time.
