Exploring Airstream RV Life Inspiration Travel Blogs

By Amy Foster

Capitalism, corporatism and materialism are three areas which often prevent individuals from living a free and uncluttered life. Although, the new trend of tiny living has people changing all over the world. For, there are now individuals whom are realizing how different life can be when it comes to simplicity versus chaos and clutter. In one case, by moving out of a home and into an RV after creating an airstream RV life inspiration travel plan.

When looking at different options, it is important that individuals envision the space filled with everything the individual plans on keeping. For, while tiny homes are a cool idea, most have very little square feet and are arranged as a long stay hotel room. As such, individuals with a lot of possessions of which the individual can not part may want to consider renting a larger apartment or home rental rather than moving into an RV or tiny house.

The couple had paid in advance for the airstream trailer sight unseen. In this case, everything was on the up and up which is good as many of these type listings and transactions are often nothing more than scams. When picking up the trailer, the dealership was just finishing a detail job. After which, the couple spent a few hours looking over every little detail before taking possession.

Upon acquiring the airstream, the couple then realized there were a number of unanswered questions. Fortunately, a relative whom was RV knowledgeable was able to help answer the questions and hitch the trailer to the pickup. Although, it still took lessons and hours of practice in order to learn how to successfully hitch the trailer.

While Steve had been looking forward to the experience for weeks, the wife had been somewhat hesitant. Not because of the drive, or Steve driving the truck and pulling a trailer, it was just a huge transition from a stationary home to one which was being towed. In addition, the whole RV lifestyle and experience was still something which had still not been experienced at that time.

According to the wife, all went well during the first drive. In fact, the husband was driving so well that the couple decided to pull into an abandoned lot to try driving and parking the trailer in reverse while hitched to the truck. Once it was clear that the husband could accomplish the feat, the journey continued.

On one stretch of highway, the couple had a scare when bales of hay began blowing all over the travel lanes. While a close call, the couple made it back to the current house, then moved the remaining items necessary for a home onto the RV. Although, while the husband's day was near done, the wife's was only starting when it came to clearing clutter and moving stuff into the RV.

After having downsized for months, there was more each one had to let go of before moving into the RV. During the process, it was difficult to figure out what to keep and what to let go of while also requiring a great deal of compromise. For, anytime an individual or couple downsizes from a large home to a tiny one, it is often hard to let go of things, especially ones with monetary or sentimental value.
