On the day before you do the trip, charging your gadgets must be done for your safety since you shall not want to be as dumb as those horror movies you have seen where they always have phones in low battery. Prevention is alright instead of waiting for the worst to occur. Lots of things need to be prevented like steep grass slopes or unstable boulders. Just observe your whole surroundings.
