So you've got your tickets, you've scheduled the travel and accommodation, now all you have to do is start packing. "But wait. Exactly what things will I really need to take to an amusement park?" I hear you wonder.
Outlined below I will give you the most important 10 items that you should take to the parks with you.
Sun Cream - Perhaps the most vital thing to remember! Florida gets very hot, even in December. Even if the sun isn't shining, it is still possible to get sunburnt through clouds. Don't forget it!
Water - To bring a reusable bottle of water (or just about any fluid for that matter) will be an absolute lifesaver during those very hot days. When you've consumed it all, you can go to a nearby drinking fountain and refill it to reuse it over and over again.
Digital Camera - You will be shocked at how many people actually fail to remember their digital camera. Sure most of the parks have official Walt Disney World photographers available (that charge a lot for prints) but in the case you want to shoot your own photographic memories, remember that digital camera! There are often signs advertising different photo opportunities.
Sneakers - Consider the amount of miles you could be walking in the course of one day. You will probably forget how much you actually travel, as you will be having too much fun! Nevertheless wearing uncomfortable shoes and even getting blisters all over your feet can spoil your day. Particularly for children since they will get incredibly grumpy!
Your Wallet - Or even just a credit card. You will most certainly have to bring something with you to pay for things. There can be a heck of a lot of shopping to be done. Wouldn't it be terrible if you forgot your wallet? There is a lot that you can purchase in the Orlando theme parks. A lot of other parks sell a great deal of junk that you REALLY shouldn't purchase! However at the Orlando theme parks (especially Animal Kingdom) you will find a lot of really neat merchandise that you can purchase.
Several times while at EPCOT I have noticed shoppers have their credit card declined. They give the Cast Member their credit card which was unsigned. Unfortunately, Disney have a rule where they can't take unsigned credit cards without an ID (passport or a drivers license). Likewise if you are planning to consume alcohol (and are obviously over the legal drinking age) then you will need to carry proof of your age. Specifically while "drinking around world showcase" at EPCOT.
