By Cherry Mercer

Depending on what your personal preference is, taking vacations on small ship cruises could be very beneficial to you. Knowing what type of vacation you want to take is very important when making the decision to go on a cruise. The pros of being on a small cruise definitely outweigh the cons.

There are many different reasons why one would love to go on a smaller cruise. For one, you get to go in to smaller ports that big cruise ships can't go in. Secondly, you can also enjoy the culture of the destination that you are visiting as well as the people of that specific area. Being able to do this, as well as see the wildlife up close gives you the opportunity to get a personal experience of what it is you are looking for out of the trip.

One huge difference that benefits any passenger choosing to go on a small cruise rather than going on a big one is that you will definitely receive better quality service from the crew aboard the cruise. In contrast, on big ship cruises, it is difficult for staff members to offer you quality service that you deserve because there are too many passengers aboard the ship. However, when you are on a small cruise, you will receive the outstanding service that you deserve considering the fact that there will be less people on board. These are the things that travelers will appreciate and remember about there trip.

Another beautiful thing about vacationing on a small cruise is that you will usually be traveling on a cruise with under 500 passengers, meaning that you will be able to make relationships with a lot of the people on board. This is because there aren't that many people on board so it is easier to build stronger relationships with the people you meet.

When it comes down to it, there are many different locations that you can visit to or from on a small ship cruise. African cruises consist of the G Adventures, Movenpick, Hapag Lloyd, and Lindblad Expeditions.

The United States eastern coast has the American/Canadian Caribbean Cruise Line, which holds 96 people. Areas of visit for this cruise will be Rhode Island, Erie Canal, Florida, Chesapeake, and the islands in New England. These are barely a portion of the options that are available when traveling on a small cruise.

Types of cruises vary depending on what the customer wants to do while on vacation. A few options include classical music, golf, dance host, dive and scuba, singles, and whale watching cruises. These are just a few of plenty options that you can choose from when you are making a decision on what kind of vacation you would like to take.

All in all, choosing to take a vacation on small ship cruises rather than a big ones has it's many advantages. You will receive a more personal experience, you will be able to effectively meet new people, and you have a world of choice when it comes to the type of cruise you want to go on.
