Mauritius is the very best Place for a Romantic Holiday

Mauritius is an island found to the east of Madagascar and just south of the equator. It used to be a volcano once which is why you will find high rugged mountains which overlook the rich, green, tropical, greenery. The soil is unbelievably fertile and the tropical environment has made this land really plentiful in plant life.

Mauritius is well known for its unusual breeds of colorful birds that appear like massive, flying flowers at times. Amongst these you will find the Pink Pigeon, the Mauritius Kestrel, the Olive and the Grey White Eye and the Mauritius Fody. Some protected types are best seen at the Black River Gorges National Park, which really seems like a modern day Garden of Eden.

In contrast to the dark volcanic mountains and the bright green plant life, you will discover bright white sand and light turquoise ocean. The combination of all these colors and aspects has a wonderful soothing effect on the mind and permits you to unwind and get into a romantic vacation mood.

Some couples delight in the convenience of a luxury hotel if they do not like food preparation but other couples like to rent|lease little, secluded, beachfront villas. The shoreline is full of tiny exclusive bays and the local architectural planning has been very mindful not to ruin the coast with huge contemporary structures. The island is surrounded by coral reefs and this makes the sea around the island extremely flat. That is why restaurants could exist on the water's edge and that is why swimming and snorkeling is fantastic in Mauritius. Of all the places, Pointe aux Piments is the most popular for its underwater scenery and its coral reefs. Make sure to book a day trip there if you are passionate about marine life or underwater photography.

When booking for Mauritius holidays it is probably best to determine whether to reserve a car immediately at the airport. Taxi cabs are alsolikewise readily available and are not really costly, therefore your decision really depends on whether you plan to travel around or just unwind and enjoy your villa and the beach.
