The Mini Hookah

By John McCree

Have you heard about the a mini hookah? Want to know what a mini hookah is? It might seem to some that mini hookahs were merely made out of creative boredom. However, mini hookahs provide a lot of benefits which a traditional hookah doesn't.

People who have ever tried to bring their hookah with them on a holiday or to a friend's home would aptly understand that hookahs have several components and a few of these parts are breakable.

Not so with a mini hookah.

It is very convenient to take a mini hookah anywhere with you since it has a carrying case. The advantage of this case is that you can keep your hookah in it when not being used, so you don't have to clean it so often.

The top three benefits of mini hookahs are:

1. Convenient to transport

2. Needs less space.

3. Very economical

And the Difference is...

Size is the key distinguishing factor between a traditional hookah and a mini hookah. There are a few other differences between mini hookah and a traditional hookah.

One of the main differences is the length of the stem. A normal hookah has a stem that accounts for nearly 75% of the height of hookah, however, in a mini hookah the stem is below 50% of the total height of the hookah. The water jar is also quite a bit smaller, and so is the length of the hose.

Some parts of a mini hookah are just equal or slightly smaller than a typical hookah. One of such things is the size of the bowl. The same amount of tobacco is used in both kinds of hookahs and the duration of the smoking session is pretty much equal. And the diameter of the stem and hose remains consistent as well. If one of these diameters is reduced it would obstruct the airflow and spoil the smoking session. So you can say that where it is vital for the function of the hookah, the size of the parts of mini hookah are kept consistent with its counterparts.

What's In a Case?

A mini hookah comes with a carry case, which enables you to transport hookah from one place to another or to store hookah if it is not in use. Like hookahs, cases themselves come in loads of designs and sizes. To make sure that the no component of the hookah breaks, hard cases that look like small trunks can be purchased. They are generally secured by a latch, like a trunk or suitcase, and have individual padded compartments for each component of the hookah. Hookah parts are fragile especially the bowl and the water jar. Having a hard carry case, helps to ensure that you don't break any component when transporting your hookah.

In addition, soft cases can also be found. From inside, they are just like hard cases with various compartments for every part. A padding in the carrying case protects the parts from breaking. However, they are not as secure as hard cases.

Lastly, although cases are normally sold with mini hookahs, which may be 17 inches, it is possible to get a case that will hold a 32 inch hookah or larger.

Where Can I Get My Mini Hookah?

If you're serious about physically browsing for your very own mini hookah, your best bet is to locate a hookah shop close to you. You can also buy a mini hookah on the net from one of the many online shops that deal in hookahs and hookah accessories.
