Buying A Hookah Might is Not as Easy as it Seems

By John McCree

All hookahs are not the same, and buying a hookah isn't necessarily as easy as it appears. You, the user, may have certain uses, which would influence the features of the hookah you actually purchase. A few questions that will help in making a good decision are:

1. How many times will I use the hookah in one week?

2. Will it be a permanent accessory in my home? Will I need to move it?

3. Will the size matter?

4. While not using will I keep it as a decoration or not?

5. How many people will use this hookah in one smoking session?

6. What should be the duration of a smoking session?

7. Do I want the hookah to fit the dcor of my home or a particular room?

Believe it or not, all of these questions could inform your hookah buying decision.

Where Should I Look for a Fine Hookah

If you wish to buy a hookah then you can visit a store or you can get one on the Internet. Shisha shops are conventional brick and mortar buildings you can walk right into, investigate the options, consult with a professional, make a purchasing decision, and walk out with your brand new hookah in hand

Purchasing on the internet can be really easy as you can buy a hookah from the convenience of your home. Make sure the online shop you choose has a good reputation on the Internet.

Six Common Hookah Types

There are several types of hookahs and each type is suited to particular taste and purposes. Some of these types are:

1. Egyptian Hookah - Quite common, conventional, reasonably priced hookah, characterized by tall, thin stems, and usually made of copper, brass, or steel.

2. Syrian Hookah - Less popular than Egyptian hookahs and thus a bit pricier, characterized by a hoseport that has more of an upward angle.

3. Crystal Hookah - The classiness of crystal hookah sets it apart from other types of hookahs. They are towards the high budget side and can be used as a piece of decoration in the home.

4. Rotating Hookah - These hookahs are typically made of stainless steel and characterized by a twisting base at the bottom that allows the entire hookah to rotate 360 degrees for convenient hose passing. The swiveling function adds minimal cost.

5. Mini Hookah - For traveling smokers, or those who need to store their hookahs somewhere with little space available, mini-hookahs may be the way to go, and are generally inexpensive.

6. Specialty Hookah - Specialty hookahs are best for those who are interested in a hookah to suit their unique personality. The cost of specialty hookah can vary from cheap to too expensive. It depends on what you need.

Before Making the Purchase

Before you make a purchase, you should test out different types of hookahs. All the hookahs produce a similar result but as you can see that each kind of hookah has certain characteristics, some types might be better suited to you than the others. For instance, bigger hookahs (x inches plus) normally need more suction in order to smoke. Some smokers find this too much work, and choose to smoke a smaller hookah. Additionally, a larger bowl (typically holds x ounces of shisha) can last significantly more than average bowls (designed for x ounces of shisha).

If there are hookah bars near your house, then you should go and spend some time there to see which hookah suits you best. If you purchase the right hookah, you can use it for years. So make sure you buy the right hookah.
