Finding a Good Hookah

By John McCree

Choosing a hookah isn't easy because all hookahs aren't created equal. Before buying a hookah you must have a clear idea of how you will use the hookah. A few questions that will help you in making a good buying decision are:

1. How often will I use the hookah in a week?

2. Will I simply keep it in my house or will I transport it?

3. Does the size matter?

4. Will I use it as a decoration while I am not using it?

5. What number of people will usually be smoking the hookah in a smoking session?

6. How much time do I want my smoking sessions to last?

7. Do I have a specific design for the hookah in my mind?

If you answer the above questions, you will make a better selection about which hookah to buy.

Finding Your Hookah

If you wish to buy a hookah then you can go to a store or you can find one on the web. Shisha shops are regular physical buildings you can walk right into, investigate the options, speak with a professional, make a purchasing decision, and walk out with your new hookah in hand

You might prefer to purchase a hookah on the web if you are an experienced hookah smoker. The advantage of shopping on the web is that you can buy from the convenience of your home.

Types of Hookahs

While this list is not all-encompassing, below are a few common types of hookahs to consider, which are ideal for different tastes, purposes, and budgets:

1. Egyptian Hookah - The Egyptian hookah has a tall, slender stem and a body manufactured from copper or brass. It is reasonably priced as well as common.

2. Syrian Hookah - The Syrian hookah is a bit pricier than Egyptian hookah. This type of hookah is characterized by a hoseport with a more upward angle.

3. Crystal Hookah - These hookahs are extremely elegant and really expensive. Crystal hookahs may also be used for decoration in the house due to its design and elegance.

4. Rotating Hookah - These hookahs are normally made from stainless steel and characterized by a twisting base at the bottom that allows the entire hookah to rotate 360 degrees for easy hose passing. The rotating feature adds small cost.

5. Mini Hookah - For traveling smokers, or individuals who have to store their hookahs in a place with little space available, mini-hookahs are the way to go, and are usually low-cost.

6. Specialty Hookah - In order to fit your specific personality, or make a bolder statement, specialty hookahs can provide with some remarkable designs. Prices range all over.

Making Sure You Choose Right

Before you make a purchase, you should try different types of hookahs. The purpose of all types of hookahs is the same, to smoke. But certain features of a hookah can make it a better fit for you. For example, some users favor a smaller hookah to a larger hookah because the latter uses more suction to smoke. A larger bowl usually lasts longer than a smaller bowl as it can have more quantity of shisha.

It is a good option to try different hookahs at a hookah bar before your purchase one. If you buy the right hookah, you can use it for many years. So be sure you buy the right hookah.
